Hosted by the Women of Good Shepherd
This year, our congregation is working with the Hazelwood School District through the Karing for Kids Program.
We have adopted four families, including the parents. They have provided us with a list of their needs and wants. We have a Giving Tree in the Welcome Area with a tag for each of the five gifts per person.
We also have a Food Tree, with tags for non-perishable food items. Each family will receive multiple meals along with their presents.
If you would like to take part in purchasing a gift, you can either stop by Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and pick a tag from the trees, or you can head to our Online Giving portal to donate, as we are accepting monetary gifts. Just select “Adopt-A-Family Gift” for the donation. Follow the link, “Making a Difference,” below to give securely online. God’s blessings be showered upon you!
NOTE: Gifts are due by Sunday, December 15, 2019
Jesus the Good Shepherd
11“‘I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 14I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. 17For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again…'” (John 10:11, 14-18a)
